AICTE Scholarships for GATE GPAT Qualified Candidates

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude test (GPAT) is an all India examination to provide the opportunity for the candidates pursuing engineering and pharmacy (B.E/B.Tech/B.Pharm Graduates) to the field of M.E/M/Tech/M.Pharm or PhD in the relevant field of their study. The GPAT scholarships are conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is pleased to invite online applications from the candidates of approved Institutions/University department for the disbursement of the above said Post graduate scholarship for the first year graduates admitted in the year of 2013-14 as well as the second year students who are in the academic year of 2012-2013. 

The procedure to follow for applying the scholarship for the students and the universities/institutes is given as follows.

1.       The institutes/universities recognised by the AICTE (Universities/Institutes under the control of AICTE) should upload the all the details of the PG students in the AICTE portal on or before the last date of 30th August, 2014. The university should be getting a unique ID which is generated by the system and be given to the students admitted to the universities.

2.       The students who have qualified GATE/GPAT or have a valid score of GATE/GPAT and admitted in the institutions/universities affiliated to the AICTE should be collecting the student unique ID from the concerned institute and the login details from the AICTE.

3.       These details should allow the student to login the portal at www.aicte-india.org and upload the following documents on the portal.

Scanned PDF copy of the passbook

Scanned PDF copy of the Aadhar card, if available

Scanned PDF copy of the GATE/GPAT score card

The candidates should keep in mind to furnish the details and documents in correct format for proper submission of the documents.

4.       The submitted documents will be verified by the AICTE Institutes for verification on the portal.

5.       The institute will then verify the candidature of the student for the student data and approve for the eligibility of the disbursement of the GPAT/GATE scholarship. (Student disbursement approval)

6.       The institute will also upload the following information on the portal.

Receipt and Payment details and account statements

Indemnity bond signed by the Institute

Utilisation certificate for the grant released

How to apply

The candidates are supposed to apply to the scholarship through the online application format. The details can be obtained from the official website. The online registration can be done at the http://www.aicteindia.org/PGScholarship.htm.
