Tanzania Geothermal Development Co. Ltd IS A SUBSIDIARY COMPANY OF THE Tanzania Electric Company TANESCO established in December 2013 and come into operations in July 2014 with a mandate to
spread geothermal resources in Tanzania

TGDC MANDATED
-    To carry out geothermal exploration including geological, geochemistry seismological volcano logical studies
-    To carry business in geothermal drilling for steam and hot water, well testing and logging, reservoir in geothermal development from various sources
-    To mobilize funds for geothermal development of alternative uses of geothermal energy than electricity including watering cultures therapeutic uses, geothermal bathing, drying of farm products and all industrial and non-industrial uses

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
i.    Operates assigned vehicle in a safe courteous manner
ii.    Keeps logs of their activities and makes sure the vehicle is maintained and its always I good working condition
iii.    Performs preventatives and regular maintenance on the vehicle
iv.    Maintain mileage log
v.    Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance  with  management and staff to minimize service delivery interruption
vi.    Driving foreign experts/officers in various official endeavors
vii.    Performs general basic administrative duties as may be assigned from time to time

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
-    Form IV certificates
-    Clean valid driving license category C
-    Driving certificates from NIT OR VETA and
-    At least 3 years working experience in reputable organizations

REQUIRED SKILLS
o    Ability to drive a multiple passenger vehicle safely and appropriately
o    Must be able to read, write and speak English and Kiswahili
o    Ability to prepare concise and accurate records and report extensive knowledge
o    Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance  needs
o    Ability to perform minor vehicle repairs
o    Applicants must be citizen of Tanzania and not above 35 years

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Permanent pensionable including six months of probation
