The Tanganyika Law Society is a bar association of Tanzania mainland founded in 1954 by the Act of parliament – the Tanganyika Law Society ordinance chapter of the Laws in an effort to improve its secretariat team TLS intends to fill the following vacancies

PROGRAM OFFICER

OVERVIEW
Reporting to the programme Manger the position supports TLS to strengthen and enhance the competence and professionalism of its members through the provision of excellent continuing professional development seminar, safe guard ethical practice and the provision of the effective and timely communication with its members stake holders and the public on legal information / development the position will head the member services programme

QUALIFICATION
i. Bachelor degree in Law
ii. Have attend Law School of Tanzania
iii. 5 years working experience with at least 2 years in mid-level management position will be an added advantage
iv. High level of understanding of the legal professional in Tanzania and function of the Laws society
v. Experience In working with membership organization with more than 3000 members
vi. Customer service skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationship with member and external stakeholders

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for oversight for the CLE/CPD program
- Responsible for developing and managing TLS member services program
- Develop strong institutional linkage regional and international bar associations judiciary and other stakeholders
- Develop and manage programs to enhance TLS members welfare professional ethical compliance
