Masters Scholarships 2014/15
The
University offers a number of scholarships to help with the funding of
your tuition fees. Applicants are normally eligible for a maximum of one
scholarship or bursary from the University. Our scholarships for
2014/15 are detailed below. In addition, we still have limited scholarship funding available for study on the January 2014 entry MSc programmes . Please note that
where candidates are eligible for more than one scholarship they will be offered the one of highest value.
Country specific scholarships
World Bank low-income or low to middle income economy countries - £2,000 scholarship
Academic Excellence scholarships (International students)
i) China, South Korea and Japan - some full and half fee discounts
ii) All international countries (excluding China, South Korea or Japan)
- academic-related fee scholarships worth £2,500 or £3,500, based on
entry qualifications
iii) A set number of half-fee Academic Excellence scholarships for highest achieving international students
Academic Excellence scholarships (Home/EU students)
15 scholarships of £1,000 available as a fee reduction to the highest
achieving students with at least a first-class Honours in their
undergraduate studies, or the European equivalent.

Ma Kam Ming Scholarship Fund
The
Ma Kam Ming Scholarship Fund supports up to 4 scholarships for
full-time postgraduate study leading to the degree of MSc, at the School
of Management, from permanent residents of Hong Kong or citizens of
China in 2014/15.
Postgraduate Bursary
UK or EU
students applying to study a full-time Masters or research postgraduate
programme, who have recently graduated from an undergraduate programme
in England, and have received support towards their fees from the Local
Authority or the Student Loans Company in their final year of
undergraduate study at their previous university may be eligible for a
Postgraduate Bursary of £500.
Alumni Discount
Self
funded or part-self funded students applying to study a full-time or
part-time (including distance-learning) Master's, MBA, PhD or DBA
programme from a University of Bradford undergraduate or postgraduate
degree, whether studied in Bradford or at one of our partner
institutions, will qualify for a discount on the self-funded element of
their fees of:
a. 25% discount for undergraduate alumni with 1st Class honours
b. 20% discount for undergraduate alumni with 2(i) Class honours
c. 15% discount for undergraduate alumni with 2(ii) Class honours
d. 15% for all other alumni
Awards for company-sponsored study
A Business relationship bursary
of up to 35% on any company-sponsored or part-sponsored Master’s course
is available for companies with whom the School has a relationship or
demonstrated business engagement. The amount would depend on the
strength of the relationship, which might include companies who have
previously funded a student on a Bradford programme, employed an
undergraduate placement, MSc or MBA student to undertake a project,
employed a member of faculty to produce a KTP or research project,
commissioned a customised Executive Education programme, or supported
the School in other ways, but this list is not exhaustive and other
business engagement activities could be considered eligible.
