1. ARTISAN- MECHANICS (1 POST)
REPORT TO: MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
WORKSTATION: MTERA HYDRO POWER PLANT
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for maintenance of plant machinery by attending all plant equipment to ensure smooth running of all plant machinery at the station by adhering to Plant preventive maintenance schedule.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Repair all plant machinery under the directives from the mechanical Technician.
b) Fabrication of all metal equipment and tools required for effective machinery operations.
c) Report to the Mechanical Technician any defects on the plant machinery for the purpose of securing the components, spares and accessories necessary for accomplishment of daily duties.
d) Execute all daily works as schedule and report all accomplished works to the mechanical Technician.
e) Involve in preventive maintenance of plants according to maintenance yearly calendar

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
Certificate of Secondary Education Form IV or VI
Holder of Grade ONE or Level THREE certificate in fitter Mechanics or Fitter and Turner from VETA or any recognized institution.
Language fluency in English and Swahili both spoken and written
Computer knowledge is an added advantage



2. POSITION: DRIVER (1 POST)
REPORTS TO: SUPPLIES AND TRANSPORT OFFICER
REPORTING OFFICE: MTERA HYDRO POWER PLANT

POSITION OBJECTIVES
Driving company vehicles, and carry out other vehicles operation as instructed by procurement and transport officer in support of the company’s business operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To drive company vehicles to support various business operations of the plant.
b) Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records for proper management of vehicle and management decision;
c) To operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner observing all traffic regulations to avoid accidents and loss to the company;
d) To maintain high standard of service to both internal and external Customers;
e) To perform minor maintenance works on assigned vehicles to ensure the vehicle is in good condition all the time to support business operations in the region;
f) To maintain fuel consumption of the assigned vehicle and reports all abnormalities to the relevant supervisors;
g) To monitor the schedule for minor and major vehicle maintenance to avoid service regular interruptions;
h) To keep vehicle clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times and readily available for any assignment in the business operations;

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
Certificate in Driving issued by NIT, VETA or any other recognized institution.
Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV/VI).
Certificate of Competence issued by Police Tanzania
Driving license Class C, C1, C2 & E

3. POSITION: CIVIL TECHNICIAN (1 POST) – RE - ADVERTISED
REPORTING TO: CIVIL ENGINEER
REPORTING OFFICE: MTERA HYDRO POWER PLANT

POSITION OBJECTIVE
To ensure that all scheduled activities related to civil works at the plant are carried out effectively and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Prepare weekly maintenance Schedules and depict them on notice board for subordinates to realize the works has to execute
daily.
b) Ensure preventive maintenance of all civil structure is executed as per schedule and that emergency breakdowns are
attended timely.
c) Make sure that maintenance record sheets are filled daily after execution of maintenance (both PM & Emergency
breakdowns) works.
d) Ensure availability of adequate tools for civil maintenance.
e) Initiate RTPs and SIVs for regular needs of materials and spare parts. Also you will be responsible to initiate appropriate
works orders (CWOs and R& M) as per approved budgets and forward them for approval and authorization.
f) Ensure high standard of cleanliness and good appearance of all plant buildings, i.e all plant offices, power house, staff

houses and other related surroundings.
g) Observe safety regulations when carrying out maintenance duties so as to avoid injuries or fatal accidents.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
Certificate of Secondary Education Form IV or VI
Holder of FTC or Ordinary Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution
Computer literacy is a must

4. ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN –(1 POST) RE- ADVERTISED
REPORT TO: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
WORKSTATION: MTERA HYDRO POWER PLANT

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Responsible for execution of all electrical maintenance works/activities in the Power Plants, with objective of ensuring smooth operational of power generating equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Respond promptly to emergence calls during emergence breakdowns to ensure restoration of fault equipment within minimum time possible.
b) Attend the plant Maintenance works as schedule, keep maintenance records, equipment status updating and submit work reports after repairs or preventive maintenance.
c) Ensure all the control cubicles in control room, relay room and entrance building are locked, free from dust and cobwebs on the outside and inside, also make sure all the equipment in these cubicles are in a good order .
d) Reading and interpreting all drawings and manuals necessary for smooth execution of the plants.
e) Execute properly preventive maintenance of electrical equipment in a planned time to ensure emergence breakdowns are avoided.
f) Responsible for going through the defect book in control room and attend defects recorded in the defect book.
g) Identify all faults/defects of the equipment and carry out necessary repairs.
h) Also responsible for carrying out installation and testing of new electrical equipment.
i) Observe safety regulations when carrying out maintenance duties to ensure no accidents to people and equipment.
j) Maintain and keep in safe custody all equipment and working tools under your jurisdiction


KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
Certificate of Secondary Education Form IV or VI
Holder of FTC or Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Technical institution

5. NURSE MID-WIFE- (1POST)
REPORT TO: MEDICAL DOCTOR /CLINICAL OFFICER
WORKSTATION: MTERA HYDRO POWER PLANT

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible for the provision of high quality health services to staff, dependents and community in large.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Provide reproductive child health services. Also nursing patients and take records of patient’s vital sign
b) Administer medicines and drugs as prescribed by clinical officer /Medical Doctor and inform clinical officer whether over doses are prescribed.
c) Provide community health education and sensitization on HIV/AIDS and individual health education to patient pertaining to their pathological significant. Also maintain the confidentiality of every individual case handled at dispensary.
d) Provide vaccinations and first aid services to injury patients and maintain up to date inventory of all dispensary facilities and report in case of any damage.
e) Order, receive, store and dispense drugs and other pharmaceutical and supervise dispensary cleanness and sterilize dispensary equipments.
f) Assist Medical Doctor/Clinical Officer with examination and treatments of diseases and on compiling weekly and monthly reports needed by DMO and Plant Human Resources Officer.
g) Provide professional care for patients, recovery, physical and well being.
h) Perform other related duties as directed by the supervisor.

KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
Form IV/VI Education Certificate
Holder of Diploma in Nurse Midwife from recognized Institution
Registered by Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council
